Our Fees

As a healthcare provider, our primary goal has always been to offer the best possible care to our patients. We have tried to avoid this change for as long as possible, however due to rising costs in operational expenses and a lack of adequate government funding, we have had to adjust our prices to continue to provide the high-quality service you should have.

We understand that this may be an unwelcome change and appreciate your understanding and continued support as valued patients of Manurewa Medical.

We strongly encourage you to write to the Minister of Health, Dr Shane Reti along with your local MP, to express your dismay at the increase in fees and outlining the impact the increase will have on your Whānau.

Effective 1 November 2024 the costs for a General Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner consult will be as follows:

Enrolled Patient Fees

Doctor/Nurse Practitioner Consultation (With CSC Card)

0-13 years inclusive - Free 14-17 years inclusive - $13.00 18 years & over - $19.50

Doctor/Nurse Practitioner Consultation (Without CSC Card)

0-13 years inclusive - Free 14-17 years inclusive - $13.00 18 years & over - $25.00

Nurse Consultation

17 years and under - Free 18 years and over - $10 - $19.50 depending on service provided

Repeat Prescription

17 years and under - Free 18 years and over - $10

Extended consults (15-30 minutes or more) = $19.50 per 15 minutes for CSC card holders, $25.00 for Non CSC card holders

After Hours Surcharge (Saturdays) - All ages for each service (Dr or Nurse) - $10 + cost of service

Different charges apply to casual and non-enrolled patients and for other services that we provide.
